My name is Maxine, and I’m the Founder of You Glow! and You Glow (business) Consultancy. I am innovative in thought and passionate about helping others to reach their potential and be the best version of themselves.

For over 25 years I've worked with many adults and young people from across a variety of sectors including education, faith and voluntary, youth and criminal justice, as well as a political office.

I created You Glow! to meet the many needs of women and girls faced with multiple disadvantage. Our support services include a personal development programme, a support group for survivors of Domestic Abuse and Violence, mentoring to help young women leaving prison and support to help young adult women leaving care and in need of essential life skills to live independently. Enhancing mental, physical, social, emotional, spiritual, and economic status, our aim is to engage in interactive learning experiences designed to build self-esteem and strong leadership skills to help You Glow! inside and out.

I'm proud to say that as a team, we have supported numerous women and girls, and have seen the positive impact and transformation in their lives.

We are a diverse team of mentors and psychotherapist all passionate about enabling women and empowering girls.

As women of colour with lived experience, our Advisory Board members are made up of experts in the field of Management, Healthcare, Education, Finance and Consultation. Each member adds a unique perspective bringing different skills, experience, and backgrounds which compliment, strengthen, and enhance the work of You Glow!

Together we are committed to supporting women and girls faced with multiple disadvantage within our communities. We embrace the person-centred and holistic approach which means we are working together to support the whole person.

The mission of You Glow! is to foster self-esteem and develop the leadership capability of women and girls, so they can achieve their full potential.

Through peer mentoring and other means of support, our vision is to facilitate transformation by engagement and learning opportunities that will harness the socio-economic power of women and girls in our communities. To change negative perceptions, promote social inclusion, to bring about reformation.

Our primary areas of support include personal development, education, and business support and we are committed to work within the framework of care, compassion, and integrity. All of which are at the core of everything that we do.
